The Belize chapter of the Young Women's Christian Association is a member of the World YWCA, which is an international volunteer membership movement uniting some 25 million women in over 100 countries. The YWCA of the Caribbean region is all affiliated to the World YWCA whose common purpose is to develop the leadership and collective power of women and girls around the world to achieve human rights, health, security, dignity, freedom, justice, and peace for all people.

Mission

The mission of the Belize Chapter of the YWCA is threefold. It offers instructional and training programmes of high quality that lead to continuing education or income generating business for women and youth. It advances knowledge and promotes physical development and other creative activities for healthy living. And, it renders significant public service to the very young and the elderly. In all its activities, it exemplifies spiritual growth, living and leadership.

The YWCA will to be a strong national organization that is self- sustaining and recognized as a leading advocate and service delivery institution for women and Youths in Belize.
