The Belize chapter of the Young Women's Christian Association is a member of the World YWCA, which is an international volunteer membership movement uniting some 25 million women in over 100 countries. The YWCA of the Caribbean region is all affiliated to the World YWCA whose common purpose is to develop the leadership and collective power of women and girls around the world to achieve human rights, health, security, dignity, freedom, justice, and peace for all people.

AQUATIC PROGRAM

Learn to swim - For all ages, scheduled throughout the year.

Lifeguard training – Provides the opportunity to develop valuable skills to help people safely enjoy the water.

Water safety instruction – Teaches general water safety guidelines, information, and skills necessary to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies. 

School visits – Primary schools, high schools, and youth groups receive special rates. 

Lifeguard services – The YWCA maintains a roster of qualified lifeguards available for hire for private events on rivers, lagoons, and pools. 

Private lessons are available along with Lifeguard and swimming instructor training. Education on Water safety is offered. Swimming Pool is also available for rental.
